The full-day event will kick off with Making The Impact’s LIVE Q&A Podcast and 200th Episode recording!

Sit back and enjoy the conversation and don’t forget to get your questions prepped about the competitive dance world! Your podcast hosts Courtney and Lesley will be running the show with a live audience offering attendees the opportunity to ask personalized questions throughout the event.

If you have a question you’ve been dying to ask a dance professional, now is your chance to have it answered! This podcast episode will be recorded and published as our 200th episode on Making the Impact in Season 6! All attendees will receive a sponsored swag bag with goodies from our sponsors as well as some Making the Impact items and coupons from IDA! The live recording will run from 11:00-12:30 pm (1.5 hour duration).

After the live podcast is recorded, it’s time to get ready for JAZZ CLASS!

The IDA team will be flipping the room during this time to clear the space for our dancers. Feel free to grab some water, a snack, change into your dance wear and begin warming up to prep for the start of class!

Next up is a JAZZ master class with Making the Impact’s own Courtney Ortiz!

This 1.25 hour class is open to intermediate and advanced-level dancers ages 9+ and will take place inside RWS's huge studio space with sprung floors, marley, and mirrors. Jazz class with Courtney will include a warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and a fun jazzy combo! All ticketed attendees have the option to stay for class but it is not a requirement to attend the live podcast. If you are a dancer, you will have a guaranteed spot on the floor to participate in the master class. If you are a parent, teacher, studio owner or sibling who does not want to partake in class, you can watch and enjoy from your observer seat. Class will run from 1:00-2:15 pm (1.25 hour duration).

Once class has wrapped it’s time to mix and mingle with other podcast fans and the dance community!

Meet Courtney and Lesley for photo ops and one-on-one chats, network with other dance professionals, dance parents, and the local dance community. Raffle winners will also be announced!

Extra Reminders

All attendees of the Making the Impact Podcast recording will be required to sign a photo/video release to attend the event and class takers will be required to sign a liability waiver during ticket registration.
